I'm liking how CNN International and CNN/US anchors have been paired up for team coverage. It was so good to see Jim Clancy earlier this morning.

I just saw a tweet saying Anderson Cooper is on his way to Egypt as well.
Let's put the NEWS back into Cable NEWS Network.
less World Sport, more World Report.

With all these correspondents now flying to Egypt, I hope nothing else major happens in the world..

CNNI coverage was much better on Saturday (as opposed to the first 4 or 5 hours of coverage on Friday). I do hope CNNI starts to take some time to report other news happening around the world. It's pointless showing the same footage of protests hour after hour. I'd be taking the time to report other news during the overnight hours in Egypt when most of the protests have retired for the evening.

It looks like CNNI has given up Egypt coverage for World's Untold Stories. They could have at least had headlines, or a World Report with Egypt coverage and other news.

Well since all hell broke loose in Egypt that would probably explain why Anderson is on his way. Don't they have enough people there? Pretty soon all of CNN will be there at the rate they're going.

I haven't turned CNNI on in a while. Have they been simulcasting Domestic during this time?

I'm glad to see CNNI have been doing World Report on the hour for most of the overnight hours. They even moved the 0800 GMT World Sport this morning to do a full 30 minute bulletin.

Ok in my old daily CNN watching, when he showed up, late at CNNI,that's when I use to switch off CNN. Why he has to be on CNNI anyway? If I can take even half hour of his show is already too much.
He has got some irritating factor about him, at least for me.

At least CNNI should have something live for most of the Asian morning then, rather than the usual taped stuff that airs on a Monday morning

Isha's going to be rather knackered if she is on iDesk Mon-Thu and AC360 all week as usual. Especialy as yesterday she was on both in the morning and again in the evening with Wolf

Finally CNN has a standard satellite signal from Cairo in the 9pm special tonight, although I suspect it's only gonna be used for the occasion of Anderson Cooper's live shows, meaning we'll probably be getting that choppy and grainy broadband signal for rest of the coverage.

At least they putting some context to the event now. Arwa reported live and they also prepared reports from other correspondents in the region and included other resource persons. Anjali interviewed an American-Egyptian couple this morning during her WR broadcast.

I'm watching tonight's broadcast. The most surprising thing is that Coooper isn't wearing a tight grey t-shirt...

This will go to some way to explaining why CNN had to use broadband for a lot of their live crosses. It seems that the network had their satellites cut early on. http://www.businessi...shut-off-2011-1
