Paris based multilingual globe trotting dazzling charmer Andrea Sanke has to have a thread especially as she is leading belle of France 24 and has recently interviewed 2 ex prime ministers, a host of ministers, diplomats world renowned novelists. In other words the kind of gig CNN London would never have pushed her way. Andrea is still only 31 as well. :D

Most if not all of Andrea's interviews at France 24 can be seen on free video here.

Thanks for the link, Spitty. I've tried watching the online stream in the past - I managed to catch a glimpse of Andrea for about 10 minutes only once.

"I'm also British"

I didn't expect to hear those words from Andrea but last night on France 24 I did, American with German forebears is what I thought but Andrea told viewers she had a scottish mother and her relatives are in Glasgow.

Andrea has been in excellent form lately. Amazing to think she won't reach her peak for another 10 years or so. If CNN London think Mallika was a better bet in the long run then they are absolute muppets!!!

Guess which French channel we got to see in the US today... I haven't seen Ms. Sanke since London. She looks happier?

Oh excellent Houston on C-Span :D

I was able to watch 30 minutes of Andrea after Hala went off-air and she was conducting a debate on the French election with about 20 different guests.

You know, I'm not really sure Andrea Sanke is a Network? Anyway, France 24 was live yesterday.

Why did Andrea leave CNN, did the fire her, what happened. I always thought she was great, she came after Hala left and I thought of her as new Hala. It would be great if she stayed, CNN London is in serious shortage of good morning presenters.

My feeling is that it was Andea's decision to leave as in the 2 years at CNN she was never valued there here is an example of what I'm talking about. On occasions in 2005 Andrea was put on the markets while a freelancer completely devoid of charm called Robyn Curnow did BI and sometimes CNN Today. How could a multi-lingual globetrotting dazzling charmer such as Andrea stay at CNN and put up with such disrespect?

At least at France 24 she is valued and treated with the respect she deserves and her career is consequently flourishing. With them she has already interviewed about a dozen Presidents and PM's, last laugh to Andrea. :D :D :D If she was still at CNN she would probably still be their youngest news anchor, that makes it all the more ridiculous as her best years are still way ahead of her.

''A multi-lingual globetrotting dazzling charmer '', what a great description of Andrea, Spitfire. I'm glad she found something better for her, she looks great on those pics, with nice tan. When can I see her on France 24?
Also is Andrea an American, couse I 've always thought she's German. I think Zain Verjee once mentioned something like that.

Apologies to Ginnyfan for not seeing those beautiful Andrea shots before today, thanks so much and here is mine.

Charm is abstract and therefore cannot be photographed

Yes Andrea isn't a station but there was no where else to put her.

Andrea speaking with American author Douglas Copeland a while ago looked like this.

If Nexties your asking why Andrea conducted an interview in Spanish it would have to be because the guest doesn't speak English or French. Check out the said interview here
