Shocking! Yet another one to joing the 27 Club; Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain.

That is a terrible shame. I bought her first album years ago and thought she was an excellent singer.

It's always sad to read of someone's passing, condolences to the family. In the end, it's no surprise. She was a drug addict that tried to clean up her act, but apparently fell off the wagon. This is what happens when people mess with drugs. Now Ms Winehouse's family and friends are left to deal with the pain and hurt after losing someone to drugs. A story told the world over, countless times a day. :(

Wow. What a sad ending. This '27 club' thing is a bit eerie, but still pretty sad about what happened with Amy.

Toxicology results on British singer Amy Winehouse, who died July 23 at the age of 27, have been released and show that no illegal drugs were found in her system, according to the Associated Press and other outlets. There was alcohol. There is no news on how much alcohol or whether it played a role in her death.

I still can't believe Amy is gone. And it seems like she was really trying to overcome her demons with no drugs in her system. :(

The tribute by Russell Brand and Bruno Mars at the MTV VMAs was nice.
