Paula Hancocks tweeted that the world's first CNN Cafe was opened in Seoul a day or two ago. Apparently you can come in, have a coffee and watch the latest news on a big plasma screen, on live ticker display or you can just surf the web for free.

In light of the latest Asia schedule faux pas, it would be interesting who will actually watch CNNI during those 4 endless hours of simulcasts, replays and no news.

Didn't they do something like this, or talk about doing something like this in London? I'm sure I've seen pictures of something similar.
Let's put the NEWS back into Cable NEWS Network.
less World Sport, more World Report.

You're right, found it here via Google. Don't know why Paula referred to that one as the "world's first" then.

Interesting the London Cafe was supposed to serve as a live location for interviews and live broadcasts, but that never happened, didn't it?

^^ That's strange they seem to have forgotten about the London one. I wonder if it was just a temporary idea for London? According to the press release regarding the Seoul cafe, they say they are planning to open more across the city and throughout South Korea. http://cnnasiapacifi...en/content/728/

Has anyone here ever visited the London or Seoul CNN cafe? Is the London franchise still operating?
