^^ Thanks for the caps Sestante. It looks very BBC World in some shots. It seems that CNN+ has a good looking set.

Round clocks in the gallery like CNN London. CNN logo shone on to the wall like CNN Hong Kong's gallery before the renovation.
I'm Rosemary Church, thanks for your company. *SMILES*

Is CNN+ surviving this year? These things are darkening its future:
1. CNN's partner Sogecable wants to sell its cable provider Digital+ (the service which carries CNN+). That obviously implies that if Sogecable and CNN wish to continue with the partnership the name "CNN+" will have to be changed. I read that an alternative is CNN Cuatro (CNN Four), because of the name of Sogecable's TV channel. A major graphics revamp is in the works
2. The agreement that allows Sogecable to use the name of CNN expires this year. The channel will continue to be a cable news network, but if there's no renovation, it will not be a CNN network. If that were the case, it will become Noticias Cuatro ("News Four") or Noticias Cuatro 24 ("News Four 24", yes, "News 4-24", I'm not inventing this).
3. There are two news channels in Spain, and CNN+ is second in the ratings, behind 24 Horas, run by the state-controlled TVE.
"This new management is not one that tolerates any questions. The changes are alienating the public who has been loyal to the network for so many years. They're looking for a new audience. But if you read the comments on the social network sites, the viewers are not pleased with what they see on the air."

This may be a stupid question but I would just like to ask, what is the difference between CNN+ and CNN En Espanol. Don't both broadcast in Spanish? Or is CNN En Espanol a Latin American variant?

I like the new set and the graphics are nice too!

CNN+ is a channel based in Spain and it it targets viewers in that country.

On the other hand, CNN en espanol is an american channel, based in Atlanta targeting viewers in the US as well as Latin America.

Hope it's more clear now :)

I too was always wondering what the difference between the two networks was. Thanks for the explanation. I'm taking that CNN+ isn't available in the States? Not even on upper tiers?

Isn't CNN+ also not owned by CNN? Isn't it a similar partnership as CNN-IBN? I think CNN en Espanol is.

I don't think CNN+ is in the States, but CNNE is found in some parts of Spain and...Equatorial Guinea.

Welcome RemoSestante!
We get a lot of CNN+ in CNN en Espanol:
*International reports for weekend's newscasts.
*Simulcasts (although not for that long) during breaking news in Spain.
*Carlos de Vega and Belin Chiloeches (CNN+ correspondents in the U.S.) report from time to time in CNN en Espanol, with Belin anchoring Encuentro a couple of times.
*And the weekly business show GloboEconomia, produced by CNN+ that still uses the old graphics of CNN+, anchored by Marta Soria.

Hi RemoSestante, thanks for posting the great videos. It's always great to see videos and caps of the other CNN networks we don't usually get to see!

Here's a wonderfully stable live stream of CNN+: http://www.elcamajan... ... -live.html

I usually check it out once or twice a week, even though I don't speak spanish.
Let's put the NEWS back into Cable NEWS Network.
less World Sport, more World Report.

I wonder why Turner decided not to renew the licence? I feel sorry for those losing their jobs. :-(

According to some other media reports, it was the local partner that decided to terminate the contract to use the CNN brand and decided to close the channel.
