Btw, Ashleigh was very good yesterday. Since his daytime talk show launched, Anderson seems to have put AC 360 aside, so it was quite refreshing to see someone more interested in the show anchoring (last week I saw Soledad very briefly, so I can't comment about her).

You're not implying they need a new anchor because Anderson just announced he's gay? Ain't gonna happen that way.

Will have to try to catch the show. My news watching takes a backseat to the Tour de France.

Newser, I think you were directing that comment toward magnel69 who has been vocal about not liking Anderson for his orientation, but since this is a public forum, I just wanted to be absolutely, unequivocally clear that my compliments towards Ashleigh and Soledad were a reflection on their skills as anchors and not a suggestion that Anderson should be replaced for being gay. I agree, Anderson has let his CNN role slide since his daytime endeavor and his poor ratings reflect that. Cooper is important to the CNN brand but he has got to get back in the game, or leave and let someone who wants the role to take over. Personally, I think there is plenty of room in CNN's evening lineup to include someone like Ashleigh or even Soledad if the morning gig doesn't work out. Ashleigh has lots of energy and she clearly looked like she relished the role of primetime anchor. It was refreshing to see.

Same here, modlib. Completely agree. And yes, my previous post was directed toward magnel.
