Hehe, they tinted the CNNI blue loop to red. Interesting.

Some CNNE news:
*Screens have invaded the set! Some are not even in the anchor's sight, as you can see in this cap by fer:

But hey, it's good for the cameras! I just wish they had sets with screens being a natural part of them instead of having these movable ones (which they apparently move for Encuentro, too) that fill the room.

*Not only they have tinted that loop red, but also green, and they still use the blue one in some newscasts.

*And they've been using a sidebar with CNN/US and CNNI lower third format as a title.

*More in the graphics department: phone interviews now look like this:
(Courtesy of the Claudia Palacios fan blog. By the way, they noted that the map is wrong, should have been a map of Honduras)

*CNN en Espanol not only aired CNN Heroes live and then repeats, but a week later they also had their own 30-min special "remembering" some of the CNN Heroes of the year. CNNE tends to do this kind of stuff, remember Latino in America?
"This new management is not one that tolerates any questions. The changes are alienating the public who has been loyal to the network for so many years. They're looking for a new audience. But if you read the comments on the social network sites, the viewers are not pleased with what they see on the air."

Oh no... Just as we get rid of that loop on CNNI, CNNe decided to use it for their fullscreens! At least they have gone the extra step to change the colour. Do you think is is an improvement on what CNNe were using, peramirez?

That beeper fullscreen (the phone graphic) looks better than the modified '06 screen CNNI are now using.

Thanks, as always, for the CNNe updates.

RE: the screens in the studio. That's interesting since we've seen all these changes to CNNI. Has CNNe changed their presentation style like CNNI did, peramirez?

Yes, I do. Although it all seems disjointed now. Sometimes they use the blue one, sometimes the green one, but mostly the red one. The sidebar used to have the colours of the show (Nuestro Mundo: green; Panorama Mundial: orange; Mirador Mundial: blue) but now everything's that red one. I guess this is part of a slow transition.

They changed the weather filler a year ago and the "Up next" graphics earlier this year, but that's it for now. And some shows are still using their original title cards, designed in 1997, 2002, etc...

Another thing I noticed: they have started to experiment with the cameras. They are no longer using fixed positions.

No. That picture is from their Forum 2020 event. It was done in a banquet room at the Elago restaurant in Mexico City.

I think it would be an amazing set, judging from the photo. The production team decorated it well though.

Yes. They are just down the hall from each other. If you take the tour, you will walk right past both of them.
