BREAKING NEWS..........

Kate has NOT given birth.

I'm just kidding, CNN didn't actually do that, I am just really tired of hearing about it.

There are two kinds of breaking news.

Stuff that isn't actually breaking and they've know about it, like how PM and AC usually start their shows and any info that seems "more important"

And then there's the important stuff when they play the "this is CNN breaking news" thing or however it goes.

I wonder which one the baby will fit under when it is (or isn't) born

The world, as CNN knows it, will stop when the announcement comes in.

Reliable Sources is doing a bit about "Is Breaking News Broken?". Wonder if CNN will take their own advice.

Such an ironic story. Will CNN change, we think not. Unless Kate Middleton's water just broke, it isn't Breaking News ;)

Breaking News, indeed. To give birth to a CNN is quite breaking.

It's breaking news EVERYWHERE, not that that's any better. Interesting how We saw Foster read the announcement as he got in because he was speaking to Baldwin, but had we been watching other news, it might have been a bit. No "This is CNN Breaking News", I wouldn't have been able to handle that.

LOL.

I still don't understand why they hand coverage over to Domestic for this. Just reinforces the notion that CNN International will always play second banana to CNN domestic. Always. Even when it concerns international news.

"Always"...except from around 10 or 11PM ET to 4AM ET. Domestic always seems to be the key star. But Becky Anderson is on right now. Then again, Tapper isn't.

Well, that's when domestic is sleeping, haha. So it makes sense to just flip the switch. But whenever domestic is operating, well, all bets are off.

Thought that at first, but realized that all of the London substitute/anchors (well not Qwest & Bouldin) have been working full time in the streets on this story for a while, so there are none left to anchor.

I don't get so annoyed at the Englishcentric behavior when it's the royal baby and not the damn sports

LOL They really gotta do something about the simulcast logo situation. My question is, do they even realize they're covering important info in the chyron?
NEW DAY, BLACK FRIDAY 2015

BERMAN: Have shoppers become hooked on their mobile devices to fill their needs?
PEREIRA: Guilty as charged!
BERMAN: Their shopping needs, I'm talking about. We'll break it down next.
PEREIRA: (gasps) What is wrong with you?!
BERMAN: I don't know!
