What's interesting is that Cuomo is rumoured to be co-hosting a morning show with Erin Burnett. Hmm...

Also interesting is the news that "The buzz is his co-host will be Erin Burnett — interesting, because we’re told Erin’s contract at CNN is to do a prime time show."

And Mr. Cuomo's father, Mario, is former Governor of NYC and brother, Andrew, is current NYC Guv.

Thought Chris was awesome on GMA and he's an excellent interviewer.

So, wait, that's three guys CNN snatched from ABC in less than 2-3 months? John Berman, Jake Tapper, and now Chris Cuomo? I was not expecting that...

Great news.

Particularly surprising since ABC is teaming up with Univision for a latino cable news channel. You would think they would want to retain some of their big name talent. ABC loss is CNN's gain. Cuomo seems pretty good - could work well in the mornings. Considering they are pairing him with Burnett, my guess is they are going to compete in the softer news market like Today and GMA. I am more interested in what the editorial direction will be rather than the personalities. If CNN doesn't change that then all these big names won't mean anything. I wish Chris Cuomo the best of luck though.

I'll wait to see the format of this new morning show first. Until then, I can only hope Zucker won't destroy everything. Anything that has Burnett associated with it sounds suspicious to me, to say the least. But generally speaking, Cuomo seems like a good hire.

Great news.

I believe Miguel Marquez was also with ABC before he came back to CNN. ABC really has taken a hit recently. Makes me wonder who is next, it's like an exodus.

Guess Wolf Blitzer might have lost the PMT fill-in job. Though he did it far less than in Larry King Live days, Wolf had been the go-to person to fill in on PMT when it's focusing on the days news (as opposed to a pre-recorded celebrity interview)

That must have been a last minute change. I would swear I saw commercials for PMT tonight where Dr. Oz was going to fill in and chat with celebs about health.

Haven't seen him since he left GMA, forgot just how good he is.

Whatever show he's on, I'm watching.

He's pretty good with breaking news. When the pope had just made his anouncement they brought him in to co-anchor some segments, also yesterday with the Dorner incident. I didn't know him before but my first impression was very positive. I can't imagine him alongside Erin Burnett on a morning show yet though...

His father was v.v. smart & an excellent politician who always credited his wife, Matilda (chris's mother) for everything that was good about him.

Agreed. I really wasn't paying much attention to 20/20, but somehow I think that even if I did, it's a completely different format compared to live cable anchoring, so it wouldn't make much difference. He really did great both solo and with Cooper. Very informed, capable and likable, a complete opposite from people he sat in for (Piers) or is supposed to be working with in the future (Burnett).

First time watching him now, 10 minutes or so and Im impressed. He's quite pleasant, profesional and not in your face "its all about me" type of character CNN seems to be going for lately.
Great adition!

My first impression of Chris was confirmed by today's Pope coverage. He did great. Glad he'll be doing the morning show on domestic cause then we could sometimes see him on International during domestic breaking news simulcasts.
