He hasn't gone yet, but he is on his way out - Jeff Greenfield, senior political analyst for CNN is moving to CBS.

Bob Franken, CNN's National Correspondent is leaving the network. Apparently a lot of CNN staffers are upset at the news.

Glad to see JJ get some anchoring in.

It was also good to see Bob reporting. I can't believe they are losing him.

CONFIRMED: After I sent an enquiry to CNN, the network has confirmed that Ryan Chilcote has left the network. He did so about a month ago.

Bob Franken's Farewell: "My Time Here Has Been Fraught By Meaning..."
Bob Franken's goodbye note to his CNN colleagues is a must-read:

There's this live shot I always wanted to do:

'AND NOW FOR A REPORT ON WHAT THESE WASHINGTON DEVELOPMENTS MEAN, WE GO TO CNN'S BOB FRANKEN. BOB, WHAT DO THEY MEAN?'

'NOTHING WOLF. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING'

As I depart '...the greatest political team in television,' I wanted to make sure that I clearly stated that my time here has been fraught with meaning. FRAUGHT

It has meant friends, unbelievable shared experiences, friends, laughs, friends, frustrations, friends, exhaustion, friends, remarkable accomplishments.

Franken concludes by writing, "this has been a long run, but it's just a warm-up. Which is my dopey way of saying I will simply be taking my act to another stage."

Oh yes! Where has Diana gone? :(

And Jeff's left? Now there a HUUUUUUUUUGE hole in Africa for CNN to plug, as if the hole wasn't big enough already

TV Newser reports that Jeff Koinange left CNN. His bio also was removed from CNN.com.

Quite an interesting story. Did Jeff leave, or was he fired? A couple of interesting quotes from TN.

"Jeff Koinange is no longer employed by CNN," a spokesperson confirmed today. She said CNN will have no further comment, saying "we do not discuss personnel matters."

The move may be related to a new blog allegedly published by a jilted lover that's getting a lot of attention online.

TN article for those who havenít read it

Oh dear it's always a blow to have your illusions shattered. If what I have read about Jeff is even half or 1/4 true then CNN would be correct to get rid of such a person.

I'm not gonna jump in any conclusions, but this story is very very strange.

After reading the posts about what seems to have happened, as Spit said, if half of that is true, CNN is correct to let him go.

But, all of this, at least for me, is strange. And I would suppose that CNN made some investigations on its own to make sure that this is all true, and then make the right decision.

Unfortunatelly, this comes when his wife is expecting their first baby. :(
