Seems that CNN is evaporating on the air. Another good one gone. :(

I share the same thoughts as you, Hugo... Another good one gone.

CNN has lost some really good correspondents and air talent these last few months.

Continuing with Koinnage's saga: the New York Post reports today that he "admitted paying militiamen to help him stage a story". As you remember, this prompted a crisis between CNN and Nigerian government. CNN, at the time, gave Jeff total support.

PS: If you read Marianne's blog "Distant lovers" this is not a "breaking news".

When I read for the first time these lines from Jeff Koinange "Of course I had to pay certain people to get the story", I was almost 100% sure that this would have a link with the Nigerian controversial story.

I just can't believe all this. What a freak this man is, and we all thought he was this great journalist, investigating and telling us the truth. I'm just sorry for Femi, she had to work with hin, who knows how he treated her.
he won't be forgotten, that's for sure, but for all the wrong reasons.

I'm gonna name just a few of CNNers who left in recent years. Most of them are journalists and anchors that made me like this network and most of them are unforgetable.

Jane Araf
Rula Amin
Satinder Bindra
Chris Burns
Catherine Bond
Aaron Brown
Rym Bhahimi
Tony Campion
Mike Chinoy
Daljit Dhaliwal
David Ensor
Chrlayne Hunter Gault
Liz George
Stan Grant
Jeff Greenfield
David Hafferenffer
Loraine Hahn
Stephanie Halasz
Mike Hanna
Bill Hemmer
Maria Hinojosa
Chris Huntington
Daryn Kagan
Fred Katayama
Jerrold Kessel
Carol Lin
Rebecca Mackinnon
Tumi Makgabo
Tom Mintier
Diana Muriel
Jill Newbronner
Lucia Newman
Michael Oknu
Veronica Pedrosa
Lian Pek
Ash Har Quraishi
Ram Ramgopal
Guy Raz
Maria Ressa
Walter Rodgers
Andre Sanke
Martin Savidge
Daniel Sielberg
Stephanie Sprague
Kelly Wallace
Judy Woodruff

Here are just a few names and the most important thing is that lots of VERY GOOD people are getting out and almost nobody is getting in.

Correspondets based in Jakarta, Islamabad, Tokyo and in other parts of Africa and Asia were gone and they were not replaced. In my opinion, that is why other news organizations are gaining so much space and viewers. :(

PS: For various reasons they went off (marriage, other opportunities etc). Many of them were not that popular with the general public but the fact is that they went off!

Former CNN anchor Daryn Kagan was at CNN Center yesterday. "She was in a studio taping a program. Word is she's hosting a new series for CNN Newsource," according to a tipster.

I know... The CNN I know is slowly disappearing. How sad.

I had no idea Stan returned to Australia. Or is he Kiwi? I can't figure it out. Ugh, I wish so many people would return:

- Veronica Pedrosa
- Stan Grant
- Karuna Shinsho
- May Lee
- Dalton Tanonaka
- Andrea Sanke
- Liz George
- Bettina Luscher
- Jane Dutton
- Jill Neubronner
- Lorraine Hahn
- Satinder Bindra
- Charlayne Hunter-Gault (think I misspelt her name somewhere)
- Lucia Newman

Ugh... a WHOOOOOOOLE lot of talent there...
I'm Rosemary Church, thanks for your company. *SMILES*

As long as they don't change the anchors I'm fine. But I would love to see Liz,Andrea & Alison back. Yes and Zain, how could I forget her.

Suddenly it occurred to me that Riz Khan no longer works for CNN. I've neglected my CNN-viewing for way too long..

Thanks! Al-Jazeera is only a few channels away from CNN on my remote, but I never really paid attention to it. I will now.

Seth Doane's bio has disappeared from CNN.com (even if you type his name on the URL). Does anyone know if anything happened to him??

(Don Lemon made some reports in India, but that could be as a result of the departure of Satinder Bindra).
