I recorded some of WNA last week and when playing through some of it over the weekend I stumbled upon Anjali telling viewers that her paternal grandmother was

married at 7

gave birth to Anjali's father at 12

Also there was Anjali on the set of the Indian Sesame Street displaying her people skills or should that be her furry animal skills.

Anjali reported live from the scene of the hostage taking in the Philippines during the 0900 GMT hour.

She has her WNA right at the time when the breaking story unfolded, and she is right on the scene, instead going live for her own show, she sticks with CNN/US.! :o , this always confuses me.

Anjali's Talk Asia featuring author and iconaclast Gore Vidal will be worth setting my recorder for. Gore is never shy about expressing an opinion. :P

Is Talk Asia shown on Europe/Americas? And is there any program like Talk Europe or something that we are completely unknown to?

It was very entertaining Talk Asia with Gore Vidal. Despite him looking frail and using a wheelchair.

Talk Asia isn't shown in the America's  Why on earth not? There is no Talk Europe.

PS Actually I should have made this posting in the Talk Asia thread. :?

I live in Florida and the only place I've ever seen Talk Asia is on Pipeline.

You may be right Spitfire and this can be moved to that thread I guess, but just to clarify for Florida - we get CNN International on our cable system (still - they haven't made the Switch yet). So, no it's not shown on CNN/US, but our International feed seems to be half the time Asian and half the time European.

Talk Asia may only be shown in Asia, as every time it's on they put on another programme for European and other viewers. However I may be wrong and there is also NO Talk Europe.

Also it is interesting to note that Anjali used to work for Sky News.

I haven't seen her enough to know her sense of humor, but she was definitely somethinged about being in the same jacket and top as Sasha.

Yesterday I heard Anjali tell viewers she was heading to the states it would not suprise me one bit if she is going to do some temporary Atlanta Anchoring which I for one would look forward to watching.

If that's true, when would she anchor? Maybe Your World Today?

if this is true then CNN will need some new HK anchors, with Hugh in Iraq and Ajali maybe going to the States, they're really going to have a lack of anchors in HK.

Probably, Kristie will anchor WNA alone and Andrew and Shakuntala will be on CNN Today, as they already did before.

That's what I think, but they need some 'sub' anchors. For example, look at London they have Owen, Sasha and Todd and sub anchors, whilst HK has no one now if she leaves.

Hello there!

I just heard that Shihab will be doing WNA on Monday and Tuesday! (That makes me very happy although I think Anjali is a great anchor, too!)

Possibly Anjali is not going to the states to do some Atlanta anchoring and instead is going to report on the Japanese PM's visit there.

If Anjali and Kristie Lu are now going to be unofficial japanese correspondents since Atika's departure for the Middle East then I expect them to do a fabulous job but really they are best suited to the studio where they can both dazzle with their charm. Both of them have a lot of it you know.
