To "celebrate" 3 solid hours of the IDESK, i've patched together a 2 minute block of the current IDESK music themes from a selection of Morpium's Videos (I hope that's OK) and my own little recordings (which were a bit patchy):

Great mix, I actually love some of those IDesk tunes though the main theme is the weakest of them all.
But I wish they would end the opening with the main theme (the one your clip ends with). They should play it when the voice says the presenter's name, it would be much better,dramatic and a great introduction.

What is that awful music they are using as an intro for Australian Open coverage on World Sport? It sounds like library music. Nasty.

They played a piece of music on the 0000 GMT World Report that I have not heard before. It was played at around 0053 GMT as they were coming back from commercial. It lasted around 20 - 25 seconds with the majority of the vision showing the control room. The closest thing it sounded to was the music they sometimes play when doing business news headlines or financial markets updates (but it wasn't that actual music)

They played it again on this morning's 0000 GMT World Report when they came back from a commercial break and displayed the top stories. Did anyone manage to capture it?

Our old complaint of CNNI using the same music. The "Egypt: Unfinished Revolution" simply uses the slow World Report theme, and the Davos coverage highlight bits from commercial breaks uses the "Eye On" theme music.

^^ Oh Bubbles, I think we're going to be complaining about that for years to come. I think CNNI just got the current music composers to make a mixtape of music and they just randomly select tracks from the cd.

Hi, I am a big fan of CNNI, especially Hong Kong edition. I am not a fan of CNN US, which is a kind of FOX-like channel.

I really like this background music since the first day I watch CNN Intl.

Does anyone have a good quality version of the old Your World Today theme (the one CNNUS used for Daybreak). I found a couple online but they are not very long.

I really like the "Crisis in Syria" sting music that is played mainly during iDesk etc. sometimes. Does anyone else agree and/or have a link to it?
