I had never seen them before either, but I did a YouTube search, and they look so much like CNNI I thought they were CNNI at first! (Except obviously in Turkish. :? ) They're definitely very interesting - like CNNI but a tiny bit different. Here's a couple of the YouTube videos I found:

Very similar!

Where they desribe the pictures
Where they have the finance information at the bottom, invert it and it's the same
The square in the bottom right corner, really close
Definitely not as nice, but I have to say it isn't too bad

CNN Turk's breaking news thingy - yellow boxes running from bottom to top on the right side of the screen - is pretty good.

CNN Türk takes new approach...

A room full of Turkey's leading news personalities was abuzz yesterday as veteran journalist and anchorman Mehmet Ali Birand took the stage at the Do?an TV Center in Istanbul to explain the changes viewers will be seeing on CNN-Túrk.

The channel is embarking on a new strategy that Birand and his team hope will make its programming bolder and more dynamic. The newsrooms of Kanal D and CNN-Túrk, both of which are Do?an Media Group, or DMG, companies, have been merged under Birand's command. "The idea came from [DMG Chief Executive Officer] Mehmet Ali Yalanda?," Birand said. "We were concerned when we initiated the project; we were taking a risk, but it has started running smoothly now."

For anyone interested, here is a live stream of CNN Turk:

It only works sometimes, so it may not be working when you first check.

Nuggle, I've had that link for a while and it has only ever worked once for me in about 3 months of checking. Still, I haven't find anything more reliable to date either. :|

I like the ticker. I think tickers that don't take up the whole bottom of the screen look much better.

Thanks for posting those.

It sounds a bit crazy, but this pic from CNN Turk in 2008 sort of reminds me of the old London set in a way. The way the desk, the plasma and the newsroom all look in the cap.

One thing I noticed when watching the CNN Turk live stream: they leave their ticker on when they play commercials, and the leave the logo up, but it is a transparent version.

Is anyone else able to skip forward through the commercial they play before the live stream starts? I know it's only a wait of 30 seconds, but I was surprised when I was able to click to the end of it after about 5 seconds.

I really like the advertising campaigns from CNN Turk!

I just checked out the live stream on their website to see if they changed their on air look. They've been pretty consistent in following CNNi's on air design, but so far have not yet moved from their look which was an adaptation of CNNi's February 2009 relaunch.
