Former CNBC anchor and CBS correspondent Gloria Borger has signed with CNN. Borger becomes CNN's Senior Political Analyst. CNN says Borger will be featured on Campbell Brown's new show set to launch in November.

"CNN is re-energizing and reinventing political coverage on television through bold innovations like the YouTube and New Hampshire debates and the daily Situation Room," Borger says in a press release. "I wanted to be a part of that transformation and am honored to join some of the top political journalists anywhere."

The move becomes a political TV swap, of sorts, CNN's former senior political analyst Jeff Greenfield left CNN for CBS News earlier this year.

I read some of her columns to see if she was left or right
http://www.usnews.co...opinion/gborger
looks like she's been very careful not to show it. I suppose that's what you want with an analyst.

Shes back from aa at least 4 week holiday, boy was I glad to see her back.
Feared already that she was also a victim of these lay-offs and demotions.
Good for her to be back in her usual position :D

I know there has been speculation as to who will eventually take over State of The Union on Sunday, and another possible name was added to the mix yesterday. Gloria hosted the show on Sunday.

I don't know how old Gloria is, but according to her bio on CNN.com, she started her professional career in 1976. That makes Gloria a lot older than I had imagined. She carries her age well tho, if I may say so.

Borger receives Emmy nod

The CNN Political Unit and 'her fans' congratulate CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger on her Emmy nomination for "Odd Couple," a piece about Ted Olson and David Boies.Olson and Boies teamed up in support of gay marriage, against Proposition 8 in California in 2010. The two sat down with Borger in March 2010 to explain their position, what they saw as the last civil rights battlefield. The two prominent lawyers were on opposing sides in 2000 when Olson represented George W. Bush and Boies represented Al Gore in the presidential recount case.
Borger's nod is one of eight 2010 Emmy nominations for CNN in the over-the-air, cable, satellite and internet broadcast category.

Gloria could be on 10 times a day and I just wouldn't tire of her. She has the gift of informing and reporting while being completely engaging, few possess this gift.

Junk Junk and cnn-domestic,

I totally agree, Gloria is one of the real pros at CNN. I see her a lot on the Chris Matthews show (his weekend program not hardball) and she is always great. I did not know she was on CNBC until reading the cnnfan.org site. I'll try not to hold that against her Posted Image *wink-wink*

I also think she does a great job analyzing the debates - I wonder why she never moderates?!?!? She would be a great moderator.

Haven't commented about Gloria in sometime, but it doesn't mean I've lost one ounce of respect for her, she's freaking awesome. The U.S. Politcal system seeps into every aspect of news, and that just becomes unbearable at times. But even with that, I can listen to Gloria all day long. Like what she has to say and value her opinion.

Also, her Romney doc was quite good. Seems that it was geared just to show the audience who this man is. Have to give it to her, takes a lot to make Romney interesting.

Do hope they stop airing it though!
