Yes, they need to change the wooden desk; and the small screens behind the anchors; but the people behind working, and the huge CNN logos, and the Atlanta skyline backdrop looks great, its of the things that I associate with CNN, whenever i see that newsroom.

The newswall area looks better with election decorations to me.

You're not alone. I like the red/white/blue combination.

I've noticed that the NY set didn't have the newsroom opened behind the anchors when it first debuted. It had some blue glass wall with a map I think. I'm not sure when they opened the newsroom but it was a good decision.

I found this cap from May 2007 where you can see it.

This one is from August 2007 and you can see part of the newsroom behind.

BTW, when did this NY set debut?

What's that? A danceclub? My my it's too much for my taste.

What I want to see is some restpoints so you can realy concentrate on the newsstory.

I think the main NY set is one of CNN's best, but it is very, very busy in any decor.

For which show do they use this studio?

It looks like the old AC360 set (from when it used to air at 7pm eastern) in New York.

It's weird why HD isn't available for programmes airing from CNN's Atlanta studio considering all master controls are located there.

This from Twitter:

GBlackstoneCNN: Today, I'm all about projects - HD upgrades to our Atlanta control rooms; updating our Ted Kennedy obit scripts and pkgs.. lots to do clickity click

[email protected]: Does this mean that the CNN Domestic Atlanta-based programs are going HD soon? :-D clickity click

GBlackstoneCNN: it sure sounds that way to me! All HD all the time :) can't promise you an exact time frame - after all, it's only money :( clickity click

I believe that's where HLN's Issues with JVM currently broadcasts from.

The main NYC studio debut in October 2006, just in time for the midterm elections.

I think you're right about that, Headliner. I also think Glenn Beck used that set before.

Here's a photo of the weather center, taken today. http://twitpic.com/1srb9

Edit: It seems they're doing a small revamp on the weather center, adding a 'magic wall'. http://twitpic.com/1t1xd

^^ Hmmm. That's interesting. I wonder what they will use it for. The screens were too dim sometimes but I don't think this screen is big enough to replace them. Probably gonna zoom in from high up to see a snowman or something after snowfall.

Think "Virtual Capitol." Why do you think CNN/I doesn't have a weather studio just like that? The US weather studio is just as big as CNN/I's studio A.

Plus they don't even do weather all day long.
I think CNNI weather people like it better to be part of CNNI newsroom then to be separated there with CNN us people.
