Nevermind. Only Jake is in New York. Anderson and Wolf are in Washington. Strange

A litle dissapointing. CNN failed to catch the atmoshphere by being in DC. They should have let Erin do alot of the show instead,

Why have Tapper and Bash on a rooftop with no view? Very strange.

Fox was outside their studios, on their rooftop, even in the middle of Times Square hosting shows.

That's Studio 71, the same setup they used for last year's WHCD

Anderson Cooper 360's town hall aired from the CNN Tonight Studio at 9pm ET. Therefore, Don Lemon is broadcasting from Studio 71, home to New Day, At This Hour, Quest Means Business and Erin Burnett, OutFront. It looks good so far, CNN please make this permanent... it's probably cheaper on them anyway

I agree. What studio was AC360 (8PM) hour in?

Tonight CNN's Kentucky and Oregon Primary coverage is originating from Studio 71 in New York, home to New Day, At This Hour, Quest Means Business & OutFront. All hosts are in New York. With every other primary (even the New York) being anchored from Washington I wonder why they've moved everyone to New York for Kentucky/Oregon. Any theories?

this is very strange. Are they having some tweaks in the DC studios?

It just seems awkward and small. I have come to the conclusion that the Communications Center was better than this studio

John King was at the magic wall at CNN D.C., I didn't recognise the background as it wasn't the usual blue and red election graphics. It looked like lots of data, graphics and numbers. Perhaps new election graphics? I didn't see Jake last night so maybe he was testing them?

So they shipped everyone (mostly) down to NYC, but couldn't do it for the NY Primaries.

Couldn't Wolf have stayed in DC with King?

BTW before CA asks what I'm still doing here... I have given up watching CNN (except for CTW) but still have a passing interest on here. :)

I suspect the Wednesday morning Turner Upfronts were the reason for using New York for coverage Tuesday night - I'm sure I've seen reference to both Anderson and Wolf being at the upfront

That makes sense then. I'm not sure what this is but could we see any new details for CNN in NYC, (30 Hudson Yards plans / Atlanta plans) etc...

The event is to unveil programming for the year ahead (and pitch to advertisers I think). There was an announcements about new and renewed CNN Original Series

Thanks Excel. I suppose the majority of programming in the year ahead will be election based anyway. :)

It makes sense for it to be the for the upfront today.  Interesting that CNN used NYC for 2008,  Atlanta for 2012 primaries and general  and now DC...

I am guessing this is why  they use the D.C studio for the primaries and stuff this year and this was probably a one time affair.

CNN used D.C. for the 2012 general election coverage
