One late addition from CNN:

BIG STARS, BIG GIVING -- CNN national correspondent Alina Cho looks at celebrity philanthropy and how big stars can have a big impact. Cho interviews Halle Berry, Justin Bieber, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Edward Norton on the causes that have become their passions and how viewers can get involved.

7:00pm Friday 24th; 5:00pm, 8:00pm Saturday 25th; 4:00am Sunday 26th.

There's too many repeats and too little live news over this period for me to be tuning in to CNN (both US and International). Both networks really missed the chance to get together and produce some live news hours TOGETHER. CNNI and CNN US should have teamed up to simulcast live news shows, even if CNNI had a few hours of rolling news like CNN Newsroom - it actually wouldn't hurt CNNI to have some rolling news programs back.

2000 Parker Spitzer
2100 AC 360
2300 AC 360
0000 AC 360
0300 AC 360

Wow, talk about AC 360 overkill overnight! Couldn't CNN simply simulcast CNNI overnight (therefore having some type of live news overnight) or have a schedule like this:
2000 Parker/Spitzer
2100 AC 360
2300 Parker/Spitzer (Repeat)
0000 AC 360 (Repeat)
0200 Word Report (Simulcasted with CNNI)
0300 John King USA (Repeat)
0400 World Business Today (Simulcasted with CNNI)
0500 AC 360 (10pm ET Repeat)

Was this on CNN.com, Newser? Below is what CNN told me they were doing a couple of weeks back. I was going to make a blog post about it but I forgot to actually do it. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't blog it because, as I say, this was a couple of weeks back and they may have changed their plans if your schedule is correct.

Was this on CNN.com, Newser?

No, it's from TV Guide, which still has the same listings I posted, so obviously the info there might not be entirely reliable. (CNN.com didn't have the post-LKL schedule published at the time of my post)

Thanks for the update, I'm glad there won't be that much of AC after all.

Yes, that looks like a much better schedule than what we may have had, but CNN.com is still showing the old schedule with Larry King at 9pm. I wonder if they have changed their minds and decided to run LKL until Piers Morgan starts, or is it just lazy CNN.com?

Some good news from the blog: Domestic will simulcast two hours of CNNI every weekday, from 4 to 6 am ET.

http://cnnobservatio...cast-hours.html

BTW, I guess there's the reason why they moved WBT from 3 to 4 am ET a few months back.

Well done CNN/US. A very easy way for you to add more live hours for little effort. And great for London and Hong Kong too to have shows on CNN/US. Wonder if MME will still be on at 4.45amET Fri?

Wow. Great news. I wonder how long this will last though. Each time CNN USA tried to simulcast CNNI each day at the same time, it abruptly ends, so I hope this is permanent.

After taking 10 steps back in scheduling in the last few months, this is one giant step forward. I don't care how long I griped, but well done, CNN.

Good decision on CNN/US scheduling's part. Also, new W1's double-heading gives it a sort of 'CNN daybreak' feel. Do hope Zain/Monita can grab viewers from First Look/Way Too Early.

Wouldn't they give one repeat slot for Parker Spitzer? Maybe 11pm where it's been since Larry King ended? Or 3am?

I thought W1 would get the boot, but this is incredible news! Monita-Zain anchoring will be awesome!

I'm skeptical about WBT. It's clearly not meant for American viewers, especially this edition of the show when the US markets have not been opened. It will be interesting how this show holds up in the coming days.

But the 1st hour of CNBC's Worldwide Exchange is also non-US centric, with updates from European bourses and Asia-Pacific wrap-up filling up the bulk.

I wonder if they will use relief presenters, since this is also on CNN USA they might do since domestic shows do (AM). I hope so.

But CNBC is a business channel and I guess worldwide, or US it has the similar coverage and outlook, isn't it? But CNN/US and a World Busineess show? On the surface, it doesn't seem much of a tangible deal. But hey, at least they are getting live and quality news show.
