Hopefully as others have said he will present a new program. I say bring back WBT at 8pm in New York (with Pauline in Hong Kong), move Anderson Cooper back to his old 10pm simulcast and scrap the silly Quest Means Business replay. Silly idea, that was. However then I suppose we'd still go 5 hours without any news which is the problem, really...

more rational, just for the sake of LIVE newscasts, will be maintaining AC360 at 8p ET, and put Ali Velshi at 10p ET

Ali has recently been co-anchoring American Morning with Carol and Christine. I see him on that program in the evenings here in Asia through CNN HD channel.

Becky welcomed him to CNN International last night at the end of CTW and said that we would see much more from him in the coming weeks and months.

Half of Ali's twitter timeline is of him writing back insults to people. Granted, the people he's responding to are giving as good as they get, but he must be the only CNN anchor I've seen who feeds the trolls. I would just ignore them.

Does anyone else fear that Ali will be the lead anchor of WBT when he moves to the show next year? I don't have much of a problem with Ali like others do, but I am a little worried that they will change the dynamic of WBT. It works well for me because all 3 hosts could be considered lead hosts. I like it's all shared equally.

According to his twitter, Ali is hosting OutFront. He also co-anchored American Morning earlier in the day. Surely he would have gone home for a quick kip between shows, otherwise that is a hell of a long day.

CNN has updated Ali's online bio.

Connecting the news through finance, global issues, contemporary governance, education and big ideas, CNN’s Ali Velshi executes several roles across CNN as the network’s chief business correspondent and anchor of Your Money and World Business Today on CNN International.

Just curious, how many 'Chief' business correspondents can CNN have? With Burnett having the same title, that must really stick in his craw. LOL.

My guess is that Ali Velshi is CNNI's CBC and Erin Burnett is CNN's CBC.

Erin Burnett is now 'Chief' business correspondent? Really? I'm turning to Richard Quest. Like Grig said, Quest is CNNI's top dog for business.

Yes, Burnett was HIRED IN as CHIEF business correspondent. Laughable, I know. It's like hiring Jay Carney to be chief white house correspondent while keeping his current job as press secretary. I still prefer Ali Velshi. Heck, I prefer Christine Romans.
