Did anyone make a recording of the last 8 minutes of today's World Business Today on CNNI? A warm and entertaining farewell to Ali, including producer's video with highlights and funny clips. Quest was a part of chat after video. 15.50 CET.

He sure could be annoying and over the top at times, but when it comes to interviewing skills, Ali was often right there near Soledad. And Zucker got rid of them both.

Is that your guess or do you have hard facts?

Ali Velshi's thoughts  are valid, but I'm not sure it's really the way those people who answered think.  Or the way others think.  The ratings on Jodi
Arias were very high, weren't they?  And the thought occurs that this is a gigantic advertisement for the new ALJ channel masked as an essay.

You're absolutely right, this is a plug for AJA since this is the audience space they are trying to fill. Who knows if they can do it or if they will try as earnestly as they claim. You make a good point about the ratings of Jody Arias garbage. The numbers for HLN are astounding. But, to Ali's point, there is a market for people who don't want sensational crap. Perhaps it isn't as big but there is a real market for quality journalism. The audience AJA is seeking and Ali describes (which I would like to think includes me) has no interest in the Jodi Arias trial and Lindsey Lohan antics anyway. HLN is pulling a certain demographic that cares about that stuff. There are plenty of us who do not. I'll tune into AJA to see what they have to offer - if it is going to be anti-semitic propoganda they will fail quickly and deservedly. If AJA can follow through on what they say they want to be, they will rival CNN and CNN will have to decide if they want to be the worldwide leader in news or if they would rather captain the poo cruise.

ALJ doesn't show anti-semitic  propaganda on ALJ Int. (English language)  In fact, sometimes they show things favorable to the Israelis.   I don't speak enough Arabic to understand what they say on ALJ Arabic.

After the AJAM collapse, it's nice to see Ali Velshi on CNN again, even if he's just an analyst. His Twitter indicates he's been making appearances on MSNBC as well.
