The newsroom looks very nice and modern unlike rest of CNN I newsrooms.

Nice to see Stan without a tie, wish more presenters would follow suit.

I just watched the video, thanks Jon. It looks like the actual set is blue, which is not surprising. You can't see that much of the actual set, but it looks promising. I can't wait to see it properly.

I think the control room is tidy but sterile.

What a massive delay, I thought it never came to life.

I think with this inside it will be very soon ready for launching.

It sounds like Christiane is doing her show from Abu Dhabi next week. Here are some caps from the promo.

So it looks like it's official that this is the newsroom set, finally something good.
But it looks like they don't have a proper desk there.

Also good to see Christiane out of the NY set, Abu Dhabi should be used more.

The long shape of the newsroom almost looks like AJE's Kuala Lumpur's set.
Also, the set looks exactly like the ones posted in a site months ago. I like that orange and blue backgrounds, just like AM/ShowbizTonight's previous set.

Unless there is a lot of 'outside' presenting in the first week (like when QMB was in HK)

These photographs give a better idea of what the studio is like.

^^ Wow, I didn't think we'd see anything of the new set on tv until Prism. Anyway, good catch, and it's interesting to see how the squiggly bars (representing sand?) appear to change color.

By the looks of it, CNN Hong Kong should be looking at how CNN Abu Dhabi have built a decent looking set in the newsroom.

It's nothing as grand as London or Atlanta, and I wasn't expecting it to be, but from the pictures DanielWood linked to, and the caps from the Amanpour interview, it looks very good. And I agree with you Lazlo, Hong Kong should be looking at this and thinking they could make something like this as it is sort of the same set up by the looks of it ie: sort of a narrow newsroom opening to a set down one end.
