Don is moving out of sports and into news. Well.. non-sports news I mean.

I never heard of a career move like that before, but good for Don if that is what he wants. I think he could become a good news anchor.

I don't think this is a sure thing. They just wrote that couse he did a week of CNN Today with Monita. This was not the first time he did that.

I guess we'll see.

It looks like no more sports for Don. He is in Atlanta and was doing half hour of YWT all week. He was very good, I didn't expect it to be honest.

Last week, he anchored CNN Today with Monita, and they made for a great pair with a lot of chemistry. This week, he's back doing World Sport updates. Is he going to do both, or is he going to fill Owen Thomas' old role?

I'm quite confused in what depart he is assigned to. One day he does world news, the next he does pure sports.
CNN - The worldwide leader in news
CNN/I - Go beyond borders

Yeah in the country I live it happens a wee bit, there a few sports presenters here that are now just news anchors

This is interesting, depending on how closely you want to read between the lines:

Don has just got out of a CNN planning meeting, is looking forward to the future and the weekend even more so!!!

I'm a bit intrigued right now. What will happen on April 13th??? Is it something about CNN and Don's role there?
