It was a public holiday here today, so Sky News Business had very little of their own programming. Instead...

did Sky Biz simulcast CNNI for lots of hours or just taking business programming "as live"?

Refreshed intro graphics and music just debuted. Nothing revolutionary, but I think it's nice they kept the famous CNN tune/refrain incorporated in the intro song. Apart from monthly World's Untold Stories, I guess QMB is the only show that still uses landmark refrain.

I wish they would refresh the World Report titles (and music) but I guess that's for another thread. The new QMB design looks quite nice I think. I guess it was due following refreshes of IDesk and World 1.

I quite like the titles. I'm glad the theme survived and only got remixed. I wish they had done the same thing with IDesk when it changed titles (kept the theme or simply remixed it a little).

Nice changes. QMB has the old CNN vibe music and titles and I'm glad they didn't get rid of those.

Ok, I have let the new look sink in for a while and I really like it. I also like the sharper musical theme. I think the 2 shot graphic with Richard and a reporter or guest on a live cross looks great.

Should this show be renamed to Foster Means Business? I'm not a regular QMB viewer, but each time I've caught the show in recent months Quest has been away on assignment or holidays. It's either a very freaky odds that I keep missing Quest's appearances, or he is away very frequently.

Could be sponsored by a well known Australian beer company! ;-)

Richard said on Twitter he's on holiday in California and will be back the week after next. Now that's some holiday.:surprised:

Only Jenny and Richard can deliver this kind of banter.

Well if they're promoting it there's no chance it's going (the repeat, that is).

To be honest I wouldn't even mind if they condensed the special features into half an hour (obviously removing the live news updates and business numbers) and had a live World Business Today for the first thirty minutes. But that would make tooooo much sense. Come on CNN....

I think QMB and Richard are at their best when the show and Richard is in the field like Monday's show. The show has a more serious tone and is really quite informative. I know Richard has said many times that he likes using the gimmicks the show sometimes uses because it makes business news appealing to everyone, but I end up cringing.

Very curious choice of guest last night. Vicky Pryce, a former UK government economist, but also currently awaiting trial for perverting the course of justice. She is alleged to have taken her former husband's, Chris Hune MP, speeding points, and the allegations forced Chris Huhne, to resign from the UK government cabinet last year. While none of that impacts her ability to speak on economic matters, I'm still surprised CNN chose a guest who has been charged with a very serious criminal offence (maximum sentence life in prison) in a very high profile case
