Good reporter, absolutely terrible at cricket. I meant to post that when I saw that on Back Story the other week.

Ivan is doing the Iran updates from Atlanta today. I'm assuming he was doing them overnight too? I guess that allows to return to a normal schedule today and the weekend.

It would have been easy to get an intern to cover the Iran Desk but it has been an absolute privilege to see such an experienced International correspondent report from the desk.

Ivan has been doing a great job these last couple of days and I have no doubt that will continue.

Since I've been away for over a week, I don't know how long he has been back in the field, but it's good to see Ivan back in what seems like his natural territory.

they just showed him choking on tear gas, oh my god. I would hate to be teargas. He is talking to Andrew after they show the video and it looks like he is ok.

Nothing against him, but why does he get to cover all the stories in addition to Turkey- Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq where they already have based correspondents. Are the CNN folks trying to build him up for something?

It was strange to see Ivan report from Turkey, his main beat. Since he's been back with the network and posted to Turkey, I think I've seen him report more from Pakistan and Afghanistan, than Turkey.

I am heartbroken to hear that the 11 year old girl that Ivan reported on passed away after being freed. Truly devastated. I thought she was going to make it. That scene of Ivan holding her hand and talking to her will never leave me.

I saw a report from Ivan earlier. It looks like he is back in Turkey. It's been a while since he's been back on his own beat.
