I understand that news correspondents can hardly beat news anchors popularity, but maybe, even if we do it time to time, we should all recognize the great work they do.

One minute she is in Indonisia, next she is in Baghdad. That could happen only on TV.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like Arwa, I like her reports, but why does she often looks very uncomfortable during live segments - from looking that she is going to throw up any second to right plain bored? Maybe there is a story behind that? She is different in her reports. Or it is a wonder of post-production?
And I liked how she was, I think, genuinely appreciative for Ralitsa's "thanks" in the of today's live exchange.

An Arwa special coming up:

Since February, CNN has been investigating the phenomenon and in 'Desperate Death: Female Suicide Bombers in Iraq' Arwa Damon looks into what motivates these women, how they are recruited and whether they're willing bombers or manipulated.

Most importantly, perhaps, how does one fight back? The documentary provides viewers with an insight into a shocking and profoundly disturbing world.

Another Arwa special - and not Iraq.

Sumatra: Paradise Lost?
Saturday 22nd November at 1300 and 1700 GMT; Sunday 23rd November at 0600 and 2300 GMT
Duration: 30 Minutes
In this special programme, Arwa Damon takes viewers deep into the once untouched forests of Sumatra to uncover stories of deception, bribery and violence. The documentary examines the deforestation that riddles the landscape and the jungle people known as the Orang Rimba - 'People of the Forest'. 'Sumatra: Paradise Lost?' provides viewers with an insight into why a small group has stepped forward to train elephants so that they can live in harmony with man. Is Sumatra a paradise lost, or will it pull back from its slide to destruction?

Arwa was via broadband in this cross, couple that with the fact that I played around with my settings and it's a little blurry - but it's still Arwa!

Probably wasn't the scariest situation Arwa found herself in, but those immense crowds walking around her looked scary.
Amazing is that, despite of it, she never lost concentration on what she was saying. :D A real pro. 8)

I've been wondering how Youssif was coping these days.
Saw the latest Arwa report about him... he seems happier despite all.

I also enjoy to see this more relaxed side of Arwa.
