From the lack of activity in this thread, I'll take it that I am the only Mari Ramos fan here. It was a pleasure to catch Mari on World News and World News Asia this evening. I usually miss CNN Today HK (the program where Mari usually presents the weather).

I love Mary, she's a great weather presenter, talks a bit fast, but I like that too. She has good chemistry with Hew & Kristie.

I really like her too. And, the new weather center looks so chroma-keyed. And Ginnyfan, its HUGH.

Mari is great, i like her too. But have to agree that she does speak a bit fast sometimes!
She clearly has a spanish accent, anyone know where is she from?

She does have a lovely personality and a sense of humour which Fritz, Kevin Coriveau Martin Jeanes and Karen Whatshername have zero of.

I also like that habit of hers where after being called up by the anchors she will say

"Thank You Soooooo Much"

As if they have just saved her life or something,

Mari is definitely the most enthusiastic reporter for the weather CNN has. She has a genuine interest in reporting the weather, and I respect that.

Mari showing on CNN why she is my favourite weather girl. On her CNN profile it actually says that she has a degree in broadcast journalism so why is she doing weather? I am pretty sure she would be a great anchor too.

Don't quote me on this one, but I think that Mari worked for CNN en Espanol... I know she worked for a Spanish speaking TV station, but I don't know if she anchored or weather'ed

She still does work for CNN Espanol, doing weather, and sometimes anchoring - here's part of her bio:

In addition to her role with the International network, Ramos also appears occasionally on CNN/US, Headline News and Airport Network. She also presents special severe weather reports on CNN Espanol.

Since 2003, Ramos has also taken on the role of weekend news anchor on CNN Espanol covering major news and breaking stories such as the aftermath of the March 11 bombings in Madrid, the war in Iraq, the departure of former Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide and the death for former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

I'd just love to see her anchoring on CNNI!
