I am wondering if the countdown 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 is really needed as part of the open? That seems quite bizarre to me.

It is rather strange graphically.

They have changed the opening now and don't have the count down in. I want to check out the show this week to see where they present it from. They might do it from the blue screen or most likely, from the roof [insert sick smilie here]

New music and titles for this week. Also, a new close to the program that features a music track over a repurposed bumper from 2006. It also seems to now be called "World News This Week".

Wow, did they make that new open in power point? The music is interesting. I swear I can hear that CNN signature tune in the close, but I can't be sure.
