I don't watch Live but I do think he would be a good co-host for it, his talk show was alright. I think maybe he would stay on his show if Time Warner/CNN let's him do double duty with Disney. Though he may have to cut back on 60 minutes and traveling for AC360 if he does live. Unless he feels like leaving CNN all together , which he could do if he wants to do something different, and Live is a much more stable option than launching a new talk show.

Good points that he previously hosted a 9am talk show in addition to CNN anchoring duties, but I would argue during that time period his newscast suffered in quality. He wasn't anchoring on the road as much, or reporting from overseas and didn't frequently participate in CNN Special Coverage like he does now, often pre-empting daytime coverage.

I guess it would depend on if he misses doing daytime chat or not . During the Talk show period AC360 did seem a bit down and the ratings were bad then too it was loosing to Ed Shultz (who was at MSNBC) and even Nancy Grace (sometimes) , right it's number 2 , before Chris Hayes (msnbc) and Nancy Grace. Also Don Lemon's name was floated around too for Live co-host as well.

I like how she challenged John Kerry the other week. Most anchors would have just let him go unchecked.
Edit: Sorry wrong thread, intended for Amanpour.
