CNN continues to offer easy and quick access to news content offering Sony Ericcson XperiaTM X1 handsets will allow users to stay ahead of CNN's top stories and world headlines anytime of the day. Users also have the option to add ireport@cnn.com email to their phone book for an instant one click submission of videos and images to CNN's user-generated news website.

Personalization of the panel application allows users the flexibility to customize information via the touch screen interface of their phone. The customization of the panels application on the XperiaTM X1 allows users to set up choice of two news categories and a 5-day weather forecast of their favourite city.

This landmark agreement between CNN International's parent company, Turner Broadcasting System Inc., and Sony Ericcson is a non-exclusive co-operation covering the whole of the Asia Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Russia, and excluding Japan

"This offering gives users a hands-on media rich browsing experience. With Sony Ericcson's XperiaTM X1, consumption of news is now brought up to a whole new level as consumers demand more from how content is delivered," commented Ringo Chan, Vice President of Wireless and Interactive Content, Development and Distribution, Turner Asia Pacific. "CNN continues to extend its commitment to partnering with visionary industry players to provide consumers in the Asia Pacific region with an innovative user experience and immediate access to our global news product," he added.

CNN has been at the forefront of international news for almost 30 years. The company's award winning coverage of world events ensures that its audience is always the first to know about breaking stories. CNN's mobile service, introduced in 1999 was the first mobile news and information service available globally with targeted regional content. The launch of CNNmobile.com in 2008 positions it as the most comprehensive mobile news site to-date across Asia Pacific. It rounds out CNN's 360 degree mobile solution offering, integrating live streaming mobile TV, video on demand content, and SMS breaking news alert services as well as other mobile applications.

Yeah, I was disappointed to hear that. I still primarily use CNNmobile.com since it's quick to load and it has more world news than m.cnn.com, but I wish CNN just had an iPhone app instead. That would be perfect.
