I can't remember who said it now, but I agree that World Report is a good name for a news show, but not when a show on the same network has already been on air with that name for 20+ years!
I am looking forward to having some standard uniformity back on the channel, but I will miss the unique names as well. It will be a shame if most of the shows now become generic bulletins though.

Let's put the NEWS back into Cable NEWS Network.
less World Sport, more World Report.

For what it's worth, I think it is a good move as it will be easier to find the talk!
If most of the bulletins are generic, it make sense to have the one topic, but if there are shows that will be different, even if they share the same name, it also makes sense to have a different topic for them. I think it just makes it easier to find the discussion you want. And I think people who post here can tell the difference between the Hong Kong and London morning show and every other bulletin, so there shouldn't be a problem with them posting in the right topic.

I think it takes some time to get used to it, I didn't like it at first but now I'm already relating it to the news bulletin and not the program they had for 20 years.
This could be a good decision for 2 reasons:
1. To make a new brand for all other shows which are regular bulletins, outside of all the new themed shows they premiered this year.
2. Last year or so (since they shortened Today London) different names of those shows were just that - different names, everything else was pretty much the same, most of the shows were single anchored and most of them lost their essence.
So this new name and look might be a good change.

I agree. Every news channel has programs like 'Today', 'World Today', 'World News' etc.
World Report is a great name, even tough it is a already used (was a bit strange to see to see the 'world report' episode earlier this day)

No matter where news happens, CNN is there.

What the f*ck did they do with the bug? I honestly did not think they could make it worse, but they managed to surprise me - yet again. I've lost all hope in their graphics department at this point. Their onscreen look is down the shitters. Honest to God, I did not think they could do this.
I'm just so disappointed right now.

I expected the opening to be red, don't know why. This reminds me too much of The Brief which I don't like, this one is better but I'm not sure. IDesk has the nicest look.

I agree Ginnyfan, i new it was gonna be like the brief, which i dont like either, its too cartoony, and I bet W1 is gonna be like that aswell. The music is starting to grow on me reminds me a bit of the old BizNews music......pause for backlash........from pre CNN Today land.

The music is so not dramatic and there is no base in the sound. It is very disco and pop. It looks like something in the 80's like a tabloid show. It remains me of the old US entertainment news magazines.
I expected something from an international news channel.
