What's the point of CNN International anchors giggling like school kids over this and trying to sell it to us (I thought that's why we have commercial breaks) only to offer up the disclaimer at the end - it's not available outside the U.S. at present.

It's an interesting app. All of the news is US-focused, much in the same way you get US news from the US edition of CNN.com, but they do have the CNN.com Live streams, which is nice (hopefully they'll start simulcasting more of the real CNN soon), and they also have VOD in it.
And, of course, there's an iReport section, which isn't in my interest.
Whether it was worth two dollars or not, I don't know, but it's about time they've made an iPhone app. MSNBC has had one for quite some time now.

I wasn't going to download it because I didn't want to pay $1.99 but since everyone was raving about it, I thought it was worth risking. I'm glad I did get it because it beats the other news Apps hands down. I recommend to anyone.

I'm not sure they should have advertisements if you have to pay to download it. I guess they've can make money anyway they want, but still. Does the international version of the application have advertisements? If yes, I wonder if that's why it is free?

I'm not sure exactly what you wanted to see, but I am presuming the design for both versions is the same, even if the content is different. I think one difference is the Domestic version has live streaming? I'm not entirely sure on that, though.Does anyone have the ability to provide screen caps of the international version to compare to the American version?

I downloaded the CNN International iphone application a couple of weeks back and it is easily my most used app. I find the BBC News application is too slow to open and just sluggish. Two thumbs up to CNN for their app. I wish we could stream CNNI on their app, but I guess it is just too hard with so many different countries to work with?
