^^ Thanks ginnyfan. Apologies on the quality of the video. I uploaded it almost 24 hours ago and it is still processing apparently.

I can't believe I haven't noticed that the plasma screen is gone too. The set is now bigger and more open. I wonder are there more changes to come?? Maybe they could move the desk to be more in the middle.

I agree they should have special background for CNN Today London. Maybe some live shot of the city like they do with HK.

Also I would use that blue 3D logo only for World News and give YWT something special.

The blue 3d logo thing was much brighter this morning.

Much brighter, and even bigger looking too.

Maybe brighter but not better. They should get rid of this background. :-?

I think they made it bigger so that it can stretch it out across all seven screens. However, the plasmas were not synchronized with it yesterday.

It always stretched across almost all the screens except the two new ones on the far right, they haven't been synchronized. Only the projection screen is bigger. Plasmas still the same size logo loop.

I know. I think they might've set up a jib camera in there because I don't recall seeing shots that high up before.

I did notice that the camera moved like on IDesk. You can see that pan in the opening video I posted in CNN Today thread.

Some new interesting shots from a steadicam today:

The desk looks much smaller up close, and Zain and Don sit far closer than they usually look.

I know I probably should wait until the end of a bulletin to post caps, but usually if I do that, I forget to post caps at all.

CNN Today or Situation Room? Don Riddell or Wolf Blitzer?

The way they use the soft area now reminds me of SitRoom.

I'm impressed with all the new camera shots they use on CNN Today.   Why couldn't they do this before.

Also World News is now anchored mostly from the newswall.

I really like the way how they use the set in London with all the roaming and stand-ups in nearly all shows also in Atlanta because the news are then less stark and more lively I hope they keep going on with this

I don't think I've seen this shot before. This shot gives us a better idea of where the studio is. I think it's just right where the old newsroom set was.
Posted Image
For Christ's sake, why don't you make it easier to read and just do a full screen overlay instead of using a shaky steadicam?

Another pet peeve of mine. I don't understand why they interject random shots of the Atlanta studio into a broadcast from London or Hong Kong. You're not fooling us.

Considering there's less than three minutes between the news bulletin and World Sport is less than three minutes, I'm surprised we don't see this more often than we do...

They switched off the screens with a couple of seconds of airtime to spare. Poor director must pull his / her hair out sometimes with that tight turnaround time.

whatever they do to enhance the London set; the blandness of the plain blue 3d CNN logos still make it look really boring.
