I don't understand all the "hate" towards King. I admit it took a minute for me to become a fan of his, mainly because his presenting style reminds me a bit of Wolf's, kind of dry and void of animation. But he is a fantastic interviewer, I think one of the best. You also get the feeling that he doesn't need the assistance of a teleprompter to do the job. The show that should be in the rumor mill is "In the Arena." CNN has invested so much in King, why would they want to dump him?

Randi Kaye was interviewing Don Lemon while in New Hampshire for the Republican Debate; Don spotted John King and spontaneously had him come on camera. It was brief and John really didn't say anything, but just seeing him in that relaxed atmosphere was fantastic. I luv John King and will definitely record the debate. Glad CNN chose him to do the moderating.

When you see one of your favorite journalist having a good time, it's just great. I watched that smiling from ear to ear. As soon as he got off the bus, I knew we were in for some fun. When you have the utmost respect for the journalist and the job they are able to do, when they give you a moment of frivolity, it's a great moment of television.

And thank goodness for this:

CNN Washington D.C. Bureau Chief Sam Feist commenting on John King, USA
“I want to put a rumor to rest. Senior management is behind ‘John King, USA.’” “The rumors are false and have always been false,” he added. :D

Great to see John with his great analysis! He was also on on some other CNNI show, I can't exactly remember, but I think it was Newsroom with Kristie.

Here's another interview when he was at Univ. of North Florida:

I think it is really great that he is taking the time to talk to the college students. Instead of self-promotional fluff we see too often by cable tv celebs, this is a great promo for the college newspapers and introduces CNN to a younger group of viewers. Go John King!

I was saddened to hear that as well. I like them both and I empathize with their need for privacy at this time. It must be difficult with it being so public. i wish them both the best, however it ends up.

I have tuned in this week so I could find out when would John King USA come to a close. I found out it was today. At the very end of the program, John said this would be his last day anchoring John King USA. It was a great close because he showed a clip from his first show where he interviewed Vicki Kennedy regarding healthcare. Today, Obamacare that Vicki's husband, Senator Ted Kennedy, fully supported and advocated. I also find it interesting that they chose a Thursday, no warning, no fanfare, much like the way Ann Curry was shamefully pushed out the door at the Today show. I knew something was up when I noticed that my satellite service tv guide already showed the hour as TSR instead of the usual John King USA. I am sorry John's show didn't work out. I think he is a great political reporter. He made an off handed remark that tomorrow will be anchored by Kate Bolduan - will it still be called John King USA or is she going to play a larger part of TSR? Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Good luck and Godspeed, John King. We'll see you on the campaign trail.
