The rumors began when Ed Walker, a known graphics developer, mentioned that he was working on a package for AJ English, Balkans, and Turk. I thought it might have been done with the anniversary, but at this point who knows. One thing I would suggest is a time stamp for live updates and interviews, like BBC and CNNI. Helps me keep track of world time haha. aside from that, I still consider AJE to have the best graphics out of it, CNN, and BBC.

I've recently been "getting into" AJE - the news rundown of stories seems to be excellent, with informative presentation and a good variety in presenters, guests and analysis however the fact that there is only ever a maximum of 90 mins of continuous news throughout the day and only 2 formats (one of which is not as significant as it was) leaves me bored after the first 20 mins or so! Even euronews' standardised format is more lively and appropriately paced!

Any AJE fans out there? Who presents at what time? All I know so far is that Doha does the most, with London from 21GMT!

When do Shiulie Ghosh/Shakuntala Santhiran/the Washington presenters appear?

Thanks.

Huge fan here. I do agree the format needs a little refresher but I do believe that may be coming in the next few months what with rumors of a graphics refresh and new programming.

They rotate often. Until yesterday Shakun had been presenting the 1300GMT NEWSHOUR. But the rotations are quite tricky to figure out, yes. The 1900 GMT NEWSHOUR is done in tandem with London while the 2100 GMT NEWSHOUR is done just from London.

I do agree that I find I learn something new or get a different perspective on world affairs purely because of the great analysts and discussions (Inside Story & The Stream) they put out daily. I don't see that on the other two networks.

Improvements: I don't kno how I feel about appointment-to-view shows. I feel AJE is so professional because it doesn't have shows like these. But its's schedule has become a little stale.

I need some anchors need to go. Tony Harris, Stephen Cole, Shakuntala (sorry CMS). I find them extremely dull and are generally the weaker interviewers. I think some of the good anchors need some more space to shine. I liked Nick Clark's moderating of Libya on the Line.

David Foster has kind of grown on me but I do agree on Shakuntala and Stephen. I was watching a NEWSHOUR the other day with Shakun in Doha and Adrian in London and laughed out loud at Adrian referring to Shakun as "Shaq".

Tony Harria makes me angry. IDK he reminds me of the US media. Maybe thats why. Im disappointed whenever I see him on.

On a side note, AJE's presentation in terms of graphics and newswall is always so clean and crisp. Compared to the mess that is BBC. CNN is slightly better but recycled graphics packages for elections seems so lazy.
